Today, i actually entered a cosplay competition. It was my first and LAST skit performance ever. Why i say last, because as most of you know, hard-shell armored character costumer isnt really have the mobility to run here and there to make a skit interesting and looks interactive or alive but i need to experience it at least ONE time and the first prize is so damn tempting ! HAHA .. Anyway, the partner back-out a week before the event so i had to get another one. Lucky i found one and had to change the scale to his size. Its not 100% ready but its Con-Ready already. Since both of us are buzy, we only had one time rehersal about the skit performance. I took 10 hours to actually get audio from some games and short trailers of HALO to make my own audio for the skit. Im not used to do that so thats why it takes so long.

Everything is good until today .. The partner supposed to be at my Base at 11.30 but i got to take him at his house.. Not only that .. i had to wait 30 FREAKING MINUTES for him to reach the car ? what are you ? a guy or a girl ? u dont need makeup and such ! Blardy hell .. The registration gonna be closed at 12.30 but unfortunetely someone incharge of the registration called me and agrees to push the dateline to 1am which i actually made it with some dangerous driving involved.

The moment of my turn, got up the stage, introduce myself and explain a little bit on what i gonna do on the stage and what the skit is about. I told them its about a sniper mission on a high altitude to kill the head of the covenant , The Prophet himself. Got down the stage and guess what. The audio is not working . Sigh .. Had to scramble find my nephew since he’s the one who keeping my thumbdrive. Lucky i bring that one together.  Finally got it up and running .

Started the skit and comes the part when my patner has to do his first stage .. took out the sniper, put the ammo magazine in and screw in the muzzle barrel .. He only have 15 seconds to do it and he screwed it up ! The reason i need him to put the muzzle barrel because i cant see clearly and hold the thing with my glove on. I started to panic and because of that i missed one of my move because i wanna make sure where he is and whats he doing at his second cue . i supposed to throw a grenade at the brute. grenade explodes but no grenade thrown ? WTF is that ?

Then comes the second part .. He actually forgot to make one of his SUPPOSED TO DO GESTURE ! I wasted 10 seconds telling him to do it and guess what .. since he already missed the first part of putting in the muzzle barrel , i only have another 10 seconds to screw it in and continue with the actual scene which actually taken 20seconds to do ! i missed the most crucial ending part of making a kick-back action from the sniper rifle sound..

To be honest, i dont think i even deserve to get 2nd place especially with that screw up skit of mine. What i know, i just am lucky to win. Most cosplayers especially seniors i know didnt enter because the event clashes with another event in Tropicana Mall. So my chances is already high and the cosplayer only allowed to cosplay as Game Characters which increasing more of my chance of winning since i know there’s isnt much. Sigh …

Anyway, congrat to the winner, Bryan . I just saw your skit video on my camera. My nephew helped me to take video of all of our skits .. You deserve to win . Congrat again !
